Covering Your Legal Needs In A Divorce

By Jack Hammerson

In the eyes of the married couple a divorce is an emotional thing. A marriage is coming to an end and that can either elicit strong negative emotions or it can bring out a huge sigh of relief from both parties. Sometimes a marriage just does not work and when that happens, and both sides agree that it just cannot be worked out, then it is time for a divorce.

To the government a divorce is the dissolving of a legal partnership that has financial ramifications that need to be addressed before the legal process is complete. If a divorce is charged with negative emotions on both sides then it can become a long and drawn out process but the government is not interested in how much the couple no longer likes each other. The government is only interested in a proper ending to a legal partnership and the more the couple can work together towards that end the better off both parties will be.

Both sides will lose out in some way if the divorce is strongly contested so the best way to make sure that each side does not walk away feeling like they got the wrong end of the deal is to negotiate a separation agreement through lawyers prior to filing for divorce. Do not try and negotiate a separation agreement on your own even if the couple seems to be getting along relatively well. A separation agreement should be negotiated through lawyers to make sure all of the proper legal angles are covered. Since the purpose of a separation agreement is to become the legal framework to the divorce then getting the legal aspects of it correct are extremely important.

There needs to be an agreement as to how the finances will be divided up between the couple. The legal system will want to account for every debt the couple has during the divorce and it does not matter whose name is on the debt. If the husband has a credit card in his name then it needs to be put in the separation agreement that the husband assumes responsibility for that particular debt. A separation agreement and divorce does not change the terms of the original debt agreement but it can assign responsibility to who has to pay it once the divorce is final. So, if both names are on a debt with the husband as a primary borrower and the wife as co-signer then even though they both agree that the husband is responsible for paying the debt the wife is still co-signer and still responsible for the pay off of the debt if the husband defaults. The finances will need to be divided in order for the divorce to be finalized.

If there was an agreement in place prior to the marriage in regards to property purchased during the marriage then that needs to be incorporated into the separation agreement. If not then there needs to be an official separation of the marital property that both parties agree to. In the separation agreement it can be something as simple as the statement that marital property has been divided between the couple and agreed to or something along those lines. In the case of marital property, unless it is a matter of millions of dollars, the courts will not use this as a reason to hold up the divorce. If it is stated in the separation agreement that the property is amicably divided then the court is usually happy with this. It is up to the lawyers to decide how much detail needs to go into dividing marital property.

When issues arise with child support, visitation with the children, and who the children will reside with are usually left to the family court to decide. You can attempt to include stipulations in the separation agreement that address the children but the courts usually make those decisions regardless of what the separation agreement says. However it never hurts to put what the couple has agreed to in the separation agreement for the family court to consider.

Relationships Tips - Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Games

By Lorena Maurer

Wedding rehearsal dinners are a time to relax, calm down and enjoy a quiet evening before the big event the next day. But adding some fun and games into the rehearsal dinner isn't such a bad idea. It's a great way to help everyone let off some steam, calm down and enjoy apiece other. If you're planning a sit-down formal dinner, fun games and activities can still be on the menu. In fact, if a formal dinner is part of the plans, having some interesting activities on the agenda is not only a good idea, but also an excellent one. There's been a lot of planning, and a lot of stress and the wedding party and close friends and family will welcome the opportunity to have a little fun.

The success or failure of any games or activities largely depends not just on the planning but your venue. If you're having a sit-down dinner in a restaurant, try to get a private room. Then a myriad of fun activities can be planned, such as "pin the veil on the bride", in which blindfolded guests spin around a few times, then try to pin the veil on a picture of the bride. Silly, yes, but also fun.

One fun activity sure to help everyone blow off some steam is charades. Whoever is up will act out a scene from the bride or groom's life, so it might be when graduating from college, or getting a huge promotion at work. The "it" person might choose to act out when the bride tripped and fell at another person's wedding or when the groom saved a dog from getting hit by a car. This is a little twist on charades that helps people get to know the bride and groom better, and adds intimacy to what is already an intimate event.

If the wedding rehearsal dinner is a bit less formal and held in someone's home, there are many more activities that can take place. For example, how about a night of playing board games? Who needs formal food? You can have that the next day at the formal wedding. At this rehearsal dinner party, the games are center stage.

Bring in some sandwiches and tell everyone to wear their comfortable clothes and settle in for a night of board games. You can set up games on different tables, divide people into groups of 4 or 5 and have everyone rotate tables at designated times. You can even instruct game players that when they move to another table, the game stays out the way it is. So, for example, papa might begin playing Monopoly where the bride was and he's stuck with only a little money in the bank and no houses on Boardwalk.

So, let's say the bride and groom are big into sports. If the wedding is to be held in the summer and the days are long, how about a game of touch football or baseball? You can play bride's family against groom's family, men against women, or for a twist, the bride plays with the groom's family and the groom with the bride's family. Any combination works. The idea here is to have some fun, relax and enjoy each other's company.

Other outdoor activities can include anything that is physical and might help people blow off steam. Has the bride been more a "bridezilla" than anything? How about a game of attach where she's it? Or you can create two bridesmaid's dress-up trunks. Go to a thrift store, fill the trunks with old prom dresses and large-size shoes, and costume jewelry. Divide the guests into two different teams and have someone sit with a timer. The team who dresses one of the men (ideally, the groom and best man or perhaps the two dads) first wins. Be sure to have a camera at the rehearsal dinner/event, because this is one activity you'll want to have pictures of!

Freemont Street or Las Vegas Blvd Where are the Deals?

By William Linch

Recently I visited the wonderful city of Las Vegas. It was my goal to figure out which was the best value, the strip or downtown. It didn't take much, I stayed 2 nights at each place and concluded that Freemont Street was the place to go. It is cheaper, more historical, better to gamble on and you still have easy access to the strip.

The rooms are so much cheaper downtown that you can really save a bunch of money. You can stay downtown sometimes as cheap as eighteen dollars per night. The hotels are not as nice as they are on the strip, but they are still decent rooms. How much time are you going to spend in your room in Las Vegas anyway.

These historical buildings are so neat. The highlight of our trip was to go into all of these buildings and just take a peak at what they contained. They have old fixtures and furniture. The setup of the casinos is even different. The rooms are not the luxury type rooms you will find on the strip, but to me the history of the buildings and the prices were more important.

The meals are so cheap. We stayed two nights on the strip and two nights downtown. On the strip I ate at what I thought was a horrible restaurant for $90 per person. We then went downtown, and one night I had prime rib which was excellent for under ten bucks. We even had steak and eggs which was also excellent for just $4 per person!

Then it was gambling. I don't gamble much but for those who do you are throwing money away on the strip. The first thing is they have loose slots on Freemont Street. Blackjack is my game. I was using the downtown area to get my girl to the table and teach her the game. The dealers were even helping her learn downtown, telling her what she should do and why. You will never get that on the strip. I even was getting tips from the pit boss, good luck getting that on the strip!

Lastly, the strip isnt that far away. They actually have a bus that is $7 per person per day that will take you back and forth from downtown to the strip. So if you want to see the luxurious hotels, shows and gamble on the strip you can easily get there by bus. You can also take a cab for about $20 for a whole group.

In conclusion the next time you see me in Vegas I will be on Freemont Street at night. The strip will still get my patronage, but I will not be staying up there again.

Weight Loss Products for Wedding and Proactol

By Ricardo d Argence

Your wedding day is approaching and you suddenly realize that you may need to lose a few pounds before the big day. Whatever your objective, you will see that several things should be kept under consideration.

One of the options that people turn to is dietary supplements and one that gets mentioned a great deal is Proactol. What is this supplement all about, and can it really help you do what it says it will?

Essentially, Proactol is a supplement which is designed to help you reduce your body weight. When looking at the packaging, it proposes to help you reduce your food craving and to burn off 28% of your fat intake. Not only is weight loss a stated benefit of taking Proactol, you'll find that other promised benefits include enjoying higher energy levels, having a lower cholesterol level and developing better flexibility.

When you look at the ingredients in Proactol, the one that gets the most mention is Neopuntia, which is a plant fiber derived from the Optuntia Ficus India Cactus, otherwise known as the prickly pear.

If you are considering Proactol for yourself, it's important to understand how it works. The prickly pear is the major part of its effectiveness and is known for its richness in such vitamins and B2 and B1, along with niacin and pantothenic acids. A bonus for this supplement is that the prickly pear stimulates weight loss.

On the other hand, it is important to consider the possible negitives of taking this supplement. Those who take prickly pear too often can have stomach problems, it can also be problematic fot those with kidney problems or elevated cholesterol. It is strongly recommended that women avoid it if they are breast feeding.

With that in mind, it can be a tricky decision if you want to figure out whether or not you want to take Proactol. The issue of course, is giving your body something that it might not be able to handle when you are on the verge of entering into a very stressful time.

Remember, the best way to lose weight and keep it off is proper diet and execise. Dietary supplements can give you a boost, but only a good diet and exercise will get you the results you desire.

Think it twice before using Proactol and decide on your needs before the big day!

Finding the Right Carat for You

By Daniel Joines

Carat, in the jewelry industry, is the term used to measure a diamond's weight. Not to be confused with karat, which is measures the purity of gold alloys, one carat equals to 200 milligrams and is divided into 100 points.

While a carat can be used to determine the weight of a gemstone, having the same carat weight does not necessarily mean that the gems are of the same size.

Some diamonds are denser than others and can pack more weight into a smaller space. Also, a diamond's appearance in size can be determined by the type of cut it has, making the seen surface bigger, thus possibly making a smaller diamond of less carat look bigger.

When taking about smaller diamonds than weigh less than a carat, the measurement is often expressed in points, for a total of 100 points per carat. So a diamond that is .25 carat is equal to 25 points.

Since large diamonds are rare and are in more demand than smaller diamonds of the same quality, they are much more expensive. For example, a 2-carat diamond would fetch a heftier price than 2 1-carat diamonds of the same quality.

So when looking at buying a diamond, it's best to consider what carat you're looking for. When comparing different diamonds, make sure that they are of similar quality and features.

Calculating the price per carat is a great way to compare costs of similar diamonds. Divide the cost of each stone by its carat weight to come up with its price per carat.

There are also other things to consider in terms of diamond carat and size when looking to buying a gemstone. The type of jewelry setting will also be important.

The most commonly purchased diamond piece is the engagement ring. When buying one, consider your budget and explore different options as there are a range of carats and sizes that will be within your budget.

A diamond can be an expensive and important purchase, so make sure that you explore all your options and research on diamonds before you buy one.

Cheap Travel Packages Tips

By Dino Williams

Prices for flights and hotel bookings change a lot from one period of the year to another, and in this ultra fast moving world of traveling, learning the best tips brings maximum profit for businesses and rewarding alternatives for holiday makers. Cheap travel packages are often used as a marketing strategy to attract customers, and this competition is not limited to travel agencies, as it greatly touches on the policies of hotels and complex resorts too. The general rule says that the places that receive the highest popularity rates are also the most expensive.

If the plane tickets are not chosen carefully, they could cost a fortune even if you think you are negotiating for cheap travel packages. Those tourists whoprefer direct routes should know that airfares vary depending on the internal regulations of airlines and are not given any explanation. Alternate routes and combinations of two flights are often cheaper than a direct one. Before taking an international flight, you should check whether you don't pay less for getting a domestic one in the same direction, first. Some agencies take into consideration such elements when creating cheap travel packages, but others take the directest flight to the destination as a standard criterion.

Another way to keep the cheap travel packages cheap all the way is prepare for all aspects of the journey. Many restaurants in different parts of the world make huge profits on the account of tourists without their realizing it, therefore, it is time people paid more attention to local food they could enjoy during outings for example. This does not mean that you'd have to cook while on holiday, but you should make some research before getting to the destination and get some tips on good local establishments that focus on regional specialties. For local specialties, costs are a lot smaller and the food is absolutely great!

Another way of getting really cheap travel packages is flexibility. Let us say that you choose to travel to South America. If you request a holiday to Rio de Janeiro, you will most likely pay more than if you just expressed your wish of visiting Brazil. Some less known and little crowded resorts could offer you a lot more than a very popular but rather luxurious one. Nevertheless, it all depends on what you want to visit and what money you are ready to pay for it. Plenty of other info is abundant on the Net and you can learn loads of useful things to help you make the best of your money and the time you spend on holiday.

The best way to get truly cheap travel packages is follow the link below. Good luck on your journey.
